Trick or Treat ?

Hello,

Yes here it comes...... Halloween. Followed by my sons birthday, Thanksgiving and - you guessed it ......... Christmas..
Where ever the time went, we need to enjoy what we have.

We'll be hosting a Halloween Party for one of my favorite group of moms, Tri Valley Active Moms, on Oct 31. This should be a fun event for all.

We have a few new faces at the Kids Club. Shelby, Stacey, and Maithili ( pronounced Mate - ti - ly ) We also have a few new helpers in training. Alina, Isabella, and Dara. And why do we need all these new girls ? That's right,it's been getting busier at the Kids Club.
Last Wednesday, after 3:30 PM, all of a sudden we had 15 children playing and having fun. We noticed the increase of children (on the closed circuit camera in my office) and got some help out there. We have an awesome system of scheduling and "on call"
back up, to be sure we have a good ratio of staff to children. Registrations have also increased and "Party Season" is back !! As the weather changes people are playing it safe and booking indoor parties. Our place is the perfect spot for your party. When you book with us, you get exclusive use of the facility. No sharing with strangers..... Just you, your family and friends....

Preschool - We have a great group of children, coming on Mon - Wed - and Fri. They are having fun while learning. Many new art projects have been going home. Come to think of it, my kids are 18 and 19 and we still have bags of their early work saved. I'm not sure for what, but they are treasures none the less

Fridays and Saturdays have been fairly busy too. Please make a reservation if you think of it. We also have a request to book the facility for a Saturday in November. Please call during the week to reserve for the weekends. I'd hate to be the one to ruin your plans.

Hi everyone,

Well, school has started for our older kids, and our preschool started last week. The initial response is very good. We've heard through the (mommy) grapevine that our preschoolers enjoy coming to " class" We've heard that one of the younger learners is identifying letters. This is great news. We have also picked up a few more students. We still have a little room left for anyone interested in participating in our preschool program.

"Thank You" - to our clients, for your support over the summer. And look forward to the fall and holiday season.

I am keeping this short today.

I'll be talking about holiday schedules soon.

Can you believe summer is slipping away ? Two months ago today we were at my son's graduation and we had the whole summer ahead of us... But, this summer has been pretty good to us. The cooler months of fall lie ahead. Labor Day weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas !! I can't believe I'm talking about Christmas, but it will be here before you know it.
Time has a habit of passing faster and faster as life goes on. That's something my grandma told me many years ago.
At the time, I knew everything, I was probably 12 years old. I paid no attention, but now realize what she was talking about.

" Take some time and smell the roses ", these old sayings are not corny, but are actually right on the money. We get busier and busier, and time passes faster and faster. Can you believe I actually email my wife sometimes ? We sleep right next to each other, but if I don't email her, I may forget........

What's the point of all this rambling ? Take time as a family, and make memories. Take a lot of pictures. For my son's graduation, I put 200 digital photo's on a flash drive and played it on one of those frames, it ran a slide show all day. I must have watched it 10 times. Enjoying it every time. These were things we did together, these are things I will never forget.

Remember what is was like before kids ? Don't get me wrong, kids are fantastic. My kids give my whole life meaning.
I am proud of where I am today and how I got here. And I am proud of the fact we raised two great kids.
Young adults now, heading out into the world soon.

But, remember to take time for yourself. I know you are a good mom (or dad) take some time to pamper yourself. Or just take care of things you need to. It's very important that you do.
Take some time with dad. Remember when you used to go out every Friday or Saturday ?

That is what we are here for. You can rely on us to watch the kids. They will have fun, and so will you !!
I am getting name tags for all the staff, so you will know them by name. We have Katie , Shelby, and MK. We just added Stacey and Maithili. They are all good kids from the San Ramon area. Katie has been a part of our business for over 2 years. Katie has worked afternoons. She is now going to college in the evenings and will be working some days.
The other girls were carefully chosen. I want you to know everyones name. And I encourage them to know yours.
Say hello and introduce yourself. We keep the records by the children's names, so without you telling them, they will not know your name.

We are so excited to be able to provide to you, our preschool program. Starting in a couple weeks, we will be teaching your children the basics. Preparing them to move on to kindergarten, and grammar school. Preparing them for the years ahead.
This is a privilege we take very seriously.

Of the two classes, one is almost full. If you bring a friend who signs up for the preschool program, I have a number of surprises for you both. Besides the best deal available in the area, I will have some rewards for the both of you as a thank you.

Preschool

Kids Club Preschool

Our preschool classes, starting in September of 2009 are open to 3, 4,and 5 year olds. The goal of our preschool program is to introduce the alphabet, colors, numbers and days of the week. We will be doing this by themed weekly art projects, stories and circle time. We will be implementing the Animal Phonics method to introduce the alphabet. Mary, our preschool teacher, used this program with a class of two year olds and it was very successful.

A typical day will consist of :

* Free Play
* Circle Time
* Snack
* Arts and crafts
* Singing, dancing and music time

A little about our teacher:

Mary Rogers : Mary has been working for us since we opened in June of 2007. She graduated Cal State Hayward with a degree in Early Child Development and has been working in the childcare field for close to 20 years. Mary is experienced in working with children ranging in age from 6 months to 10 years old. While working at a childcare in Pleasanton, she co-taught the same Animal Phonics program we hope to implement here at the Kids Club Party Place of San Ramon. Mary is also a mom. She has two boys ages 5 and 8 years old.

There will be two sessions :
One on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays for 4 & 5 year olds.
And another on Tuesday and Thursdays for 3 & 4 year olds.

Cost per session : Will be $20. Sessions will start at 8:45 AM and end at 11 AM. Before and after childcare will be available.

Space will be limited for these two classes. We are accepting enrollments now through August 28,2009.

OK I am In !!

Hello everyone. I finally have the info I need to access and post on here.

The website is pretty much ready, and I posted everything I can think of. If I forgot anything, please let me know.
Summer has been very busy and we are happy to have added a few new faces to our Staff. Shelby, MK ( Mary Kate ) and Kristen.
I will get name tags so you will know who is who. Kathy is working very hard to train these girls. There is a little more to learn than just watching the kids and saying hello. If there is ever a problem, please let me know. The girls are pretty good at calling us, should they need to know anything, and since we can't do it all ourselves, we're training them. They are all good kids, and I have very high expectations for them all.
Priya, is leaving to go to college in Australia !! So we needed to fill her spot and hire a few back ups.
I'd like to say "Thank You:" to the clients who use us regularly. We are growing everyday. We continue to get new registrations every week. We have come a long way since last August when we took over managing this business. It has been exciting and challenging at the same time. Kathy has done a great job managing our facility. We work together to keep things running smoothly.
We have a few friends out there who have been very helpful. Norm our website designer and total web mistress. (yes, Norm is a lady !) And Michelle West of Tri Valley Active Moms, have both been very helpful and supportive of us.

We've hosted many Open Houses for Moms Clubs. Pleasanton Moms Club, Iron Horse Moms, and Tri Valley Active Moms, just to name a few. If you belong to a group, or want to bring your kids whole class, or just know 50 moms and kids, let me know. I'll host an Open House for you on a Saturday to show you what we've got. We'll work up a few special offers at the same time.

We are also doing Princess and Prince Birthday Parties. Check out www.thecinderellacompany.com . We've partnered with these ladies to offer these parties. We are also working on a Mad Scientist Party Package.

OK, I'll stop here for now. I just got access to the blog tonight. So if you think of something for us to offer, that I have not yet, please let me know and if possible, we'll put it together.
